Cancellation Policy for Normal Reservations

We know plans can change and we will be happy to assist in rescheduling your table where possible. If you wish to reschedule or adjust your booking before the 24 hour notice period, you may do so via the booking link in your confirmation email.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 8065 6954.

Online changes are not able to be done within 24 hours prior to the booking. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers (20% or more of group size cancelled) within the 24 hours notice period will result in a $20 per person charge made to your nominated credit card.

Please note that we are unable to transfer your booking to another branch internally and kindly request that you book for the right venue or make a new booking for the branch you wish to visit. Wrong venue bookings will be charged as per cancellation or no show fees due to the tables having been reserved for your party.

Private Room Bookings

Please note that a minimum spending is applicable when booking for a private dining room. If you wish to arrange for a private dining room, please make an enquiry here. A deposit will be required to secure your private room booking. This deposit can be used as credit on your reservation date. Any amount exceeding the deposit will need to be settled on the day.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a private room booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 8065 6954. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Credit Card Surcharge:

Please note a variable surcharge will be applied to all credit and debit card payments.

Sunday & Public Holiday:

Should your reservation falls on a Sunday, a 10% surcharge applies. On public holidays, a 15% surcharge will be added to the total bill.

Online changes are not able to be done within 72 hours prior to the actual day of the event. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period will incur a loss of full deposit made to your nominated credit card. No credits will be given for cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period.

Alcohol & decorum:

Ho Jiak Town Hall is fully licensed venue. BYO are not allowed. It is your responsibility to ensure the orderly conduct of your guests. All beverages are subject to seasonal change.

Terms & Conditions for Special In-House Promotions

Father’s Day 2024:

1. This offer is only available at Ho Jiak Town Hall, on 1st of September 2024 under ‘Father’s Day Early Bird Special‘ at specific timeslots, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm, 4.30pm & 8pm, limited seats available.
2. A minimum of 4pax per booking.
3. The offer of a FREE plate of Char Koay Teow and a 1L Tiger Beer is limited to one (1) per reservation.
4. Minimum Spending of $20 per head is required to be met.
5. Please note that we have 10% Sunday Service Charge that will be applied on the total bill.
6. Bookings are strictly required for this offer, and strictly non-transferable and cannot be moved or changed on a different date & time.
7. Liven payment is not applicable to this promotion.

Ho Jiak Events & Functions – 15% Credit Back

1. To be eligible for the promotional credit, contact us at [email protected] and put the code HJEVENT15 in the subject line of the email.
2. The 15% credit will be issued as an E-Voucher after the completion of the event. Note: Please wait for at least 48 hours to receive the E-Voucher.
3. The E-Voucher can be redeemed on your next Ho Jiak visit, across all locations (Amah by Ho Jiak, Ho Jiak Town Hall, Ho Jiak Haymarket, and Ho Jiak Strathfield).
4. The 15% credit is calculated based on the total bill, excluding gratuity and any surcharges.
5. This offer is valid until 31st of December 2024. Subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended without prior notice.
6. The E-Voucher is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be extended.

Junda x Darren x Stefano Dinner – 11th September:

1. This event is only available at Ho Jiak Town Hall, on September 11th at 6pm only.
2. Bookings are strictly required for this event and prepayment is required for this event.
3. Please note that the 10-course meal Menu cannot accommodate any dietary needs.
4. This event requires a minimum of 2pax per booking.
5. This booking is strictly non-transferable and cannot be moved or changed to a different date.
6. A minimum notice period of at least 7 days is required to cancel or adjust a booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 7 days in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 7 days of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.
