Marketing Pre-paid Events
Any cancellation to pre-paid Marketing events at any HO JIAK GROUP Restaurant must be notified within 72 hours of the event’s date or based on the specified Terms & Conditions of the said event otherwise charges will occur.

Customer Service Policy
HO JIAK GROUP is committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality products. We endeavour to make sure that all products listed on our website are currently in stock and pricing is true and correct. 

Refund Policy
Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. You can choose between a refund or exchange where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, or are different to the product purchased on the website.

Security Policy
When purchasing or booking from HO JIAK GROUP Restaurants, your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 128-bit SSL encryption is estimated to take at least one trillion years to break, and is the industry standard. If you have any questions regarding our security policy, please contact us. 

Gift Vouchers
Treat this card or digital card like cash. Defaced, mutilated, altered, lost, or stolen cards will not be replaced. Not redeemable for cash. Cash will not be given for any unused balance. Purchases exceeding the available balance require the difference to be paid by other methods. In the event of any dispute, the decision of HO JIAK GROUP is final. This physical card or digital card is valid across all HO JIAK GROUP Restaurants unless otherwise stated.

Neither HO JIAK GROUP nor any of its directors,employees, or other representatives, or the developer, Internet Service Provider or carrier of the website, will be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of HO JIAK GROUP websites. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect, or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.

Private Space Terms & Conditions

Please note that a minimum spending is applicable when booking for a private dining room. If you wish to arrange for a private dining room, please make an inquiry here. A deposit will be required to secure your private room booking. This deposit can be used as credit on your reservation date. Any amount exceeding the deposit will need to be settled on the day.

A minimum notice period of 48 hours is required to cancel a private room booking. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 9170 4714. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within 48 hours of your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Credit Card Surcharge:
Please note a variable surcharge will be applied to all credit and debit card payments.

Sunday & Public Holiday:
Should your reservation fall on a Sunday, a 10% surcharge applies. On public holidays, a 15% surcharge will be added to the total bill.

Exceeding Booking Time Limit:
Please note that there will be a 10% Service Charge on top of the total bill, if the booking exceeds the 2 hour dining time limit. For every hour exceeded, there will be additional 10% Service Charge on top of the total bill.

As for groups of 10 or more that has the 10% Gratuity Fee, an additional 10 Service Charge (10% of total bill excluding Gratuity Fee) will still be added to the total bill along with the Gratuity Fee.

For groups of 20 and above, a pre-order is required at least a week prior to the reservation.

  1. Customer Checklist
    • I/We have selected our food and beverage options and/or committed to a minimum spend.
    • I/We understand that no one under the age of 18 is permitted in the venue.
    • I/We understand that a 10% gratuity will be added to the total bill for all groups.
    • I/We understand that outside food and drinks are not permitted in the venue.
    • I/We have confirmed the number of guests attending.
    • I/We understand that we will be charged for the confirmed number of guests 2 days prior to the booking. For example, if a booking is made for 20 people but only 15 turn up on the day, we will be charged the full amount of minimum spending that’s been agreed prior.
    • I/We have processed the required deposit to confirm the booking of the private space/room.
    • I/We understand that there is a minimum spend required for the exclusive use of the private space/room.
    • I/We understand that smoking or vaping is not permitted inside the venue.
    • I/We understand that the booking form must be submitted and confirmed by venue management before it takes effect.
    • I/We understand that it is our responsibility as the cardholder and/or organiser of this booking to make it clear to our guests that the total bill cannot be split.
    • I/We understand that Ho Jiak Group requires 24 business hours’ notice for any dietary requirements for ourselves or our guests. Any additional items ordered outside of the set menu will be charged on top of the bill.
    • The Ho Jiak Group management reserves all rights with regard to refusing entry, behaviour, paraphernalia and intoxication for clientele.
  2. Client Responsibilities
    • This agreement takes effect when Ho Jiak Group management accepts a booking form. Prior to this, the booking will be considered tentative.
    • The client will be responsible for any damage or extra cleaning required to the venue, Ho Jiak Group property, Ho Jiak Group guests, or its staff’s property caused by guests or their friends attending the booking.
    • The client must assist in removing any intoxicated guests from the premises if requested to do so by management.
    • I/We understand that the full amount for the booking/function must be paid in full on the day of the event, either by card or in cash. We do not accept cheques.
  3. Cancellation Policy
    • If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible.
    • Any cancellations must be emailed to [email protected], or [email protected], or [email protected], and receive confirmation before the cancellation takes effect.
    • Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the reserved date will receive a full refund of the deposit.
    • Cancellations made within 48 of the reserved date will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
  4. Changes to Reservation
    • If you need to make changes to your reservation, please notify via a phone call or email as soon as possible.
    • Changes made at least 48 hours prior to the reserved date will be accommodated, subject to availability.
    • Changes requested within 48 hours of the reserved date may not be possible and are subject to the same cancellation policy outlined in Section 3.
  5. Exclusivity
    • Hire prices are based on the food and beverage minimum spend quoted + 10% discretionary gratuity for exclusive hire of the private space/room.
  6. Payment
    • The final bill for the private dining space/room, including any additional services and applicable taxes, must be settled in full at the end of the event.
    • We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of electronic payment as specified by the restaurant.
  7. Damages and Liability
    • The person making the reservation is responsible for any damages caused to the private dining room or any items within it.
    • The restaurant reserves the right to charge the cost of repairing or replacing any damaged property.
    • The restaurant will not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the private dining space/room.
  8. Venue rights
    • In the unlikely event that we need to make changes to or cancel your reservation, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer suitable alternatives.
    • If no alternative arrangements can be agreed upon, any deposit or payments made will be fully refunded.
    • The Ho Jiak Group reserves the right to have any patron removed from the premises due to behaving in an irresponsible manner in the management’s opinion.
    • The Ho Jiak Group will take all care but assume no responsibility for the loss or damage to any property belonging to the client or their guests. Due to seasonal availability and
      demand, certain menu and drinks list items and prices may be subject to change without notice.
  9. Privacy and Data Protection
    • We respect your privacy and will handle any personal information provided in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
    • By making a reservation for our private dining space/room, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation Policy for Normal Reservations

We know plans can change and we will be happy to assist in rescheduling your table where possible. If you wish to reschedule or adjust your booking before the 24 hours notice period, you may do so via the booking link in your confirmation email.

A minimum notice period of 24 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected] or by phone at (02) 9170 4714.

Online changes are not able to be done within 24 hours prior to the booking. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers (20% or more of group size cancelled) within the 24 hours notice period will result in a $20 per person charge made to your nominated credit card.

Please note that we are unable to transfer your booking to another branch internally and kindly request that you book for the right venue or make a new booking for the branch you wish to visit. Wrong venue bookings will be charged as per cancellation or no show fees due to the tables having been reserved for your party.

Cancellation Policy for Special Events

We know plans can change, if you wish to cancel or adjust your booking before the 72-hour notice period, you may do so via the booking link in your confirmation email.

A minimum notice period of 72 hours is required to cancel a booking or to change the number of guests attending. This request must be submitted in writing via email to: [email protected]

Online changes are not able to be done within 72 hours prior to the actual day of the event. Cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period will incur a loss of full deposit made to your nominated credit card. No credits will be given for cancellations, no shows or changes to the numbers within 72 hours notice period.

Alcohol & decorum:

Amah by Ho Jiak is a fully licensed venue. We do BYO for wines only for normal dining. Corkage fee is $30 per bottle. It is your responsibility to ensure the orderly conduct of your guests. All beverages are subject to seasonal change.

Terms & Conditions for Special In-House Promotions

Late Night Special:

  1. This offer is available from daily from 8pm, with limited time slots, and excludes NSW Public Holidays.
  2. This offer is exclusively available via bookings & dine in only (not applicable for takeaway or walkins).
  3. This offer cannot combined with any other promotions or vouchers.
  4. Menus are subject to change and depends on the availability on the day. 
  5. Liven payments are not applicable to this offer.
  6. Photo is for illustration purpose only.
  7. A 10% service charge applies on total bills on Sundays.
  8. To cancel or modify your booking, including changes to the number of guests, a minimum of 24 hours’ written notice via email to [email protected] is required.   2. Offer valid for children under 12 only. Buy one full-priced main meal and receive one free kid’s main meal.
  3. Offer valid on a kids main meal only – drinks and dessert not included. Maximum 4 kid’s free meals per group.
  4. Offer only valid for one meal per child.

Dim Sum High Tea:

  1. Offer available daily from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Saturday), and for Sundays, from 1:30 PM onwards with the last seating at 3:30 PM.
  2. All Dim Sum High Tea sittings are 2 hours. The last round of drinks will be served 15 minutes before the end of your seating.
  3. This offering is a pre-paid offering to secure your reservation. Payment must be made in advance to confirm your booking.
  4. To ensure availability, reservations are highly recommended. Walk-ins are accepted, but subject to availability.
  5. Desserts are assorted depending on availability of the day.
  6. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions or vouchers.
  7. A 15% surcharge applies on public holidays, and a 10% surcharge applies on Sundays.

Amah Bento Box Loyalty Card:
  1. This loyalty card is valid at Ho Jiak Haymarket, Ho Jiak Strathfield and Amah by Ho Jiak for both takeaway and dine-in. 
  2. Ho Jiak Group is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards. Replacement cards will not carry over previously earned stamps.
  3. With every purchase of a bento box (2 or 3 choices), you will earn 1 stamp. Stamps will be issued at the time of purchase and cannot be added at a later date.
  4. Drinks options may vary depending on the venue’s availability.
  5. We will only accept this loyalty card in its physical form at the moment; digital copies or screenshots will not be accepted for redemption.
  6. This loyalty card cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts or offers and unable to be used on NSW Public Holidays.
  7. This loyalty card is non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash and can only be used by the cardholder.
  8. This loyalty card has no cash value and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
  9. By using the loyalty card, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for program administration and marketing purposes in accordance with the company’s privacy policy.
